Intended to address heightened anti-Asian xenophobia and violence.
President Biden announced on Tuesday his intent to create the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. This commission brings together experts in their field to help advise the president on developing policies that will benefit these ethnic minorities who face challenges unique to their race on a daily basis.
The full statement, released by the White House, lists each person appointed to the commission and a short description of their accomplishments. The appointees, including Dr. Amy Agbayani, Emily Chen, Daniel Dae Kim, and Ai-jen Poo, will candidly and comprehensively discuss how best to address the struggles of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders throughout the United States.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That those appointed to this commission will be understanding and effective in sharing strategies and concerns.
